Tips for a Successful Donation
To make sure you feel your best before and after your donation, keep these quick tips in mind:
- Hydrate: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the drive.
- Eat Well: Have a healthy, iron-rich meal before you arrive.
- Bring ID: Don’t forget your driver’s license or Red Cross donor card.
- Wear Layers: Sometimes the donation area can be a bit chilly, so a light sweater is always a good idea!
Why It Matters
Blood shortages are a constant challenge for hospitals. By spending just about an hour of your day with us, you are helping trauma patients, those undergoing surgery, and people battling cancer.
